Slider app for iPhone and iPad

140 Years ago, Sam Loyd, America’s biggest puzzle expert, created the 4 by 4 tile puzzle. Now you can enjoy this classic game on your iPhone or iPod Touch by downloading Slider from the iTunes store.

Shake, slide, and have fun while training your brains. You may choose from 5 different playing modes. In photo mode, you can select an image from your own image library to seed the Slider game.

Gaming Instructions
To start the game, click shuffle or shake your iPhone. This will randomize the tiles. The objective of the game now is to restore the original graphic by rearranging the tiles.
There are two ways you can move tiles in the playing area: touch a tile, which is next to an empty space, or slide the tile on your iPhone towards the empty space.

Once you have all the pieces in their proper places, the blank tile should be in the bottom right-hand corner. At this point, a slow marching band kicks in and will celebrate your victory by playing an animation.
Also, you may wish to shuffle the tiles a few times until you get an arrangement, which looks promising for setting a new World Record!

When playing in photo mode, you can select a new image from your photo library by double tapping the screen outside the playing area.
